However, I am trying to get ready for vacation. But, seriously…THE CRAZINESS.

How can I still not have everything together even though I have been planning since LAST TUESDAY?! How? But I’m going to stop complaining about planning now because did I mention we get to enjoy the lovely fall weather in DC? And Virginia? And stay and B&Bs and visit wineries? And eat lots of yummy food?

OH - speaking of the food - people of Washington DC and Central Virginia, I have one thing to say to you: WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON WITH THE DINING RESERVATIONS? I had to make reservations for dinner for our vacation a week out. And I STILL had to scoot each and every reservation request by 15-30 minutes from my original request. Seriously, people. Seriously.

    Dinner reservations? A vacation is about relaxation. It’s about driving aimlessly and finding some Mom and Pops restaurant and stopping by for the special. Reservations? Y’all are crazy.

    So, I will let you slide this one time, but I expect that recipe sometime this fall. And you have to have to go to the farmers market downtown (around Aish and 4thish) It is fun and they have some delicous hot dogs there.

    Phoebe- Cameron and Shannon are grownups now… They are to old to play ‘college road trip’ anymore. Instead they are going to stare desperately at a wine list and wonder a) how far down the price list they can go and not appear cheap, and b) whether said wine is actually any good. All of us grownups do this. I occasionally throw in a c) to wonder about- how much would said bottle would cost if I bought it at a store instead?

    P.S. Will be flying in/out of Nashville for a vacation the week of Nov 8-16, yall around?

    i’m not fussing at you guys but i do check your site almost as much as craigslist and xkcd…..but theres not much new stuff lately. just saying i miss it.

    Kyleigh: I know, I know. Somehow, one day, I lost my motivation. Not sure how it happened. I do, however, have that Stufftacular project hanging over my head …

    You read xkcd? Yay! I also recommend Shortpacked, Dinosaur Comics, A Softer World, The White Ninja, joshreads.com, and Joyce And Walky. And Penny Arcade.

    Jared: Psh. We do our best to have a good time for a decent amount of money. I have vague wine tastes, as well as Shannon, and we just do our best to find something tasty. (Answer to c: About half of the menu price, inevitably.) Oh, and email me about that other stuff.
