Labor Day.

In case you were wondering, I still have not fully recovered from Labor Day festivities which involved traipsing over to, and all around, Upstate South Carolina. And eating Chik-Fil-A several times.

We also stopped at some outlets, during which I was preemptively writing my confession blog in my head (Labor Day sales, people), but - get this - I didn’t even find anything worth buying.

I recently made a list of the stuff I’d like to add to my wardrobe this fall, and I found that once I really laid out the things I wanted/needed, it wasn’t hard to stay on track and not buy anything else. No matter how good a deal it was.

Here’s the list of things I did not find at the outlet, aka, my fall fashion wishlist:

  • grey/black merino v-neck sweaters
  • brightly colored merino v-neck
  • black pencil skirt
  • brown flat boots
  • black heeled boots
  • brightly colored pashmina scarf
  • silver hoops
  • fun heels
  • new black heels
  • tweedy pants
  • fun jacket

Realistically, I may or may not end up with all of these things, plus or minus some items, but I find it helps me to know where I’m going.

Anywho. What I wish I was buying today (aside from the fall fashion wishlist):

Chanel No. 5.

Ooooh, classy.Ooooh, classy.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about turning 25, and somehow it seems right that I should (finally) stop getting a new perfume/body spray each birthday or Christmas and find something that is my signature scent.

I am a LADY now, I should SMELL like something.

I admit I was drawn to the No. 5 due to it’s reputation of being a classic scent. However, I’m not so attached to tradition that I’d shell out that kinda buckage if it stank. Or smelled anything less than awesome.

When I picked up the bottle and sniffed, I was less than convinced. I put it on anyway, just to try it. And it smelled AWESOME. What I didn’t know is that jasmine is one of the main scents in this stuff, and jasmine has to be just about my favorite smell in the world. Not to mention the vanilla and sandalwood-y scents, which I normally like but find smell a little TOO food-y or masculine, but not so with No. 5.

Sigh.

Clearly we were made for one another. Now I just have to scrape up some moolah.
