Quality Reading, or: What I would like to buy on Day 12.

I’ve already mentioned that I would like to be sitting in the park in the fall with a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (day 9), in a sweater (day 11), reading a book. Perhaps this book:

Sweet crackers, I love these books. And I MUST READ THIS ONE! How do I explain this? I have NO IDEA why I keep reading these books.

Stephanie Meyer (while I love her dearly for bringing these sweet sweet pieces of crack reading into my life) is not exactly the author of a generation. And I kind of hate Bella and Edward most of the time (hello, unhealthy relationship). And why didn’t someone, dear sweet Lord, SOMEONE, involved in the writing/editing of this novel use a thesaurus?!

And yet, much like how any time there are Cheetos in a room I must shovel them into my face, even though I HATE Cheetos, I KEEP READING THE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES.

I could just stick it to the man and read this in the cafe at Borders, but then I have the other three novels in the series just STARING at me from their nice little place on my shelf, incomplete. Do you know what that does to someone with my organizational habits? My closet is Roy G. Biv’d for crying out loud, I CANNOT have PART of a series on the bookshelf.

Oh, yeah, and I will definitely be seeing the movie. Oh, yeah, I’ve seen the previews.

Crack, I tell you. Crack.

    I’m going opening night

It’s like Harry Potter.. bad writing, dumb movies full of bad acting WHY DO I LOVE THEM SO MUCH?

Why did I stay up until 3 a.m. finishing Twilight and then promptly spend $38 to have Amazon zip the other three books to my doorstep? Oh, that’s right. Because of SHANNON DAIGLE.

But, yes. Crack. And even with the plot holes and mediocre writing, it’s still better than Nicholas Sparks.

Well, I would feel bad for being responsible for this, except it sounds like all people involved here have read the first book…and then kept on reading. So hah! We are all on literary crack!

I’m pretty sure the comic strip “family circle” is better than nicholas sparks.
