Today, I wish I was buying this:

Murad Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser.Murad Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser.

And by “wish” I mean I totally already bought it.

BUT! It doesn’t count in the no buying plan because it was very, very necessary to good hygiene.

Why, you may ask? Because my beloved Philosophy turned on me! Everything was fine, and then suddenly my face looked like a twelve year old’s.

And not an adorable baby-faced twelve year old. More like a twelve year old that is going through some serious puberty issues. Normally you’d think I got paid to sell Philosophy products to people; I could NOT shut up about how great they were. Sadly, no longer the case.

So far, so good with the new Murad stuff - my face feels really, really clean, looks/feels nice, and - after checking in a magnified mirror - some blackheads are actually GONE! Yes!

Because I am out of moisturizer (also Philosophy - NOT repurchasing!), I also set out to buy some of this:

Because I have heard is awesome. It is $60, which I find kind of expensive. However, I find that being (almost) TWENTY-FIVE years old means I have this mysterious desire to never, ever have disgusting acne/a super oily face ever again. Not to mention icky skin makes things like makeup a total waste of money. I definitely don’t think expensive=effective when it comes to “beauty stuff,” but if it really is great, for something you use twice a day, every day, and will take you about a year to use, it’s not that bad.

But I didn’t have to buy it today! Origins is just giving this stuff away! I happened by the store, and within like 5 minutes I had a 4-piece mini kit of the whole Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Plantidote line. The catch is you have to sign up for a free skin consultation - not really a big deal since you could just cancel or not show up - but if you DO show up, they give you more free samples. So, go get some free stuff!
